Services and Treatment

Haemorrhoid centre provides haemorrhoid treatment services including:

  • Initial consultation and assessment
  • Electrotherapy treatment for haemorrhoids
  • Follow-up care and monitoring
  • Same-day emergency treatment (where available)

Treatment Suitability

Not all patients are suitable candidates for our treatments. A thorough medical assessment is required before any treatment is provided. We reserve the right to decline treatment if it's not in your best medical interest.

Payment Terms and Insurance

Payment Requirements

Consultation and treatment fees are paid in advance unless you have medical insurance. We accept various payment methods including cash, card payments, and bank transfers.

Medical Insurance

Check with us whether your insurance company works with us, and if so, make sure your insurance company will cover Haemorrhoid centre consultations and treatments.

We can only send our invoice to your medical insurance company if you provide valid membership and pre-authorisation numbers for your consultation/treatment. If you cannot provide these details, you will be obligated to pay us and reclaim through your insurer.

Each insurance company has its own policies. If you intend to rely on your medical insurance company for payment, you are advised to contact your insurer in advance. You will remain responsible for settlement of your account until full payment is received from your insurance company.

We allow the insurer time to settle the claim, but patients will be asked to pay anything not settled after 3 months of the treatment date.

Treatment Costs

All treatment costs are clearly displayed on our website and will be confirmed at the time of booking. Prices are subject to change with notice.

Insurance and NHS

Haemorrhoid centre is a private clinic. We do not provide NHS services. Some private health insurance policies may cover our treatments - please check with your provider.

Appointment Booking and Cancellation

Booking Appointments

Appointments can be booked through our website, by phone, or in person. All bookings are subject to availability and require confirmation from our staff.

Cancellation Policy

Change to cancellation terms: As of 2025, we require at least 72 hours' notice for appointment cancellations.

There is no cancellation fee if 72 hours or more notice is given of cancellation or postponement of a scheduled appointment. However, if you cancel or move your appointment with less than 72 hours notice or do not attend your booked appointment, you will be charged a late cancellation fee to cover costs incurred.

Rescheduling

We understand that circumstances may require rescheduling. Please contact us as soon as possible to arrange an alternative appointment time.

Refund Policy

Refunds issued for appointments attended where treatment did not go ahead will be made back to the original payment method less the consultation fee (unless discount applied).

Where remaining funds are transferred to a new appointment to attempt treatment again and the treatment cannot be completed for a second time, a further consultation fee will be retained and the remaining balance refunded.

Exceptional circumstances: In the unlikely event that treatment commences but is terminated before 5 minutes of treatment time on one or more haemorrhoid has been carried out, in addition to the consultation fee being retained, an additional fee may be payable to cover the cost of the single use treatment kit which will have been partly used.
